Kenwal Steel

Kenwal Steel Corp. was founded in 1947 by Sol Eisenberg in Detroit, Michigan as a modest but ambitious supplier of steel products. As with most new businesses, the initial years of the company, which was then called Kenwal Products Corporation, were marked by a limited range of operations and services. The company's customers during this period were a small pool of automotive based manufacturers. During the 1960's, Sol's elder son, Kenneth Eisenberg, joined the business and helped lead its development into a more diverse and service oriented company. Kenwal began taking on new customers in different industries whose steel needs and requirements demanded that the company expand its own range of steel services.

Kenwal specializes in difficult, deep draw applications where part severity and metallurgical input are molded together to establish proper mill practices for specific steel production. This ensures our steel inventories, which include hot rolled, hot rolled pickled, cold rolled, as well as galvanized, electro-galvanized, galvanealed and aluminized in both low carbon and high carbon strength low allow grades, will always be of exceptional quality.
