  • Founded in 1947 by Sol Eisenberg.
  • Customers included a small pool of automotive-based manufacturers.
  • During the 1960s, eldest son Kenneth Eisenberg helped enhance the product and service line, which enabled the company to diversify its customer base.
  • In 1984, a second steel plant was established in Gary, Indiana, to respond to the needs of customers in this geographic locale.
  • In the 1990s, the landmark development of Kenwal's $20 million world headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan doubled the company's production capacity.
  • In 2002, Kenwal Burns Harbor Facility established.
